Beef Yakitoi in a Tiffin Box

100 ml sunflower oil

1 tsp ginger

1 tbs oil

3 chopped spring onions

2 tbs suyaki sauce ( 1 soy + 1 mirin if not available )

1 sirlion/rump steak


Chop spring onions and ginger and place in a heatproof dish. Chop the ginger and spring onions into a small bowl then pour on the sukayki sauce. Heat the oil until smoking. Pour into sauce which cooks the ginger and spring onions.

Meanwhile cook the steak to your liking allowing to rest.

When ready slice into ½-1 cm slices and place on cooked rice. Pour the sauce over the steak.
