French Beans Bhaji Recipe

Ingredients

400g French beans cut into small pieces

2 potatoes cut into small cubes

1 dried red chilli

2 tsp. jeera dhania masala (cumin and coriander powder)

½ tsp. turmeric

1 tsp. mustard seeds

1 tsp sunflower oil

Salt to taste. 

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a small saucepan and add in the mustard seeds.
  2. When they begin to pop, add in the potatoes and the French beans.
  3. Put in the masala, turmeric and the salt. Stir.
  4. Cook on simmer, stirring frequently until the beans and potatoes are cooked.

 

Serve with pitta bread, naan or chappati
